Am I really ready to tell you I love you?
I think what I'm feeling is love
But who am I to say?
I can tell you I think about you too much
That I can't go 5 minutes without being reminded by you
That if I didn't have you right now, my world would come crashing down
I can tell you that my heart always races when I'm with you
I get a tummy full of butterflies
And my cheeks always go a few shades pinker than usual
I can tell you about how I think you're wonderful
That no one makes me smile like you do
That when I'm with you, nothing else matters
I can tell you that your fingers look great intertwined with mine
That my arms fit perfectly around your body
That your smile lights up the room
I can tell you how much I miss your smell and how comforting it is
Tell you about how I think about you as soon as I wake up and fall asleep
Tell you how I hug pillows because that's the closest I'll get to you for now
I can try to explain the feeling I get when your chin rests on my skull
Try to tell you what I'm thinking about when we kiss
Attempt to tell you what it is about your voice that makes the world melt away
(Those are all very complicated things that I don't know how to put into words)
I can tell you how much I miss you
How much I care about you
Tell you I think I may love you; already
But the thing is, I just don't know.
